A Labour peer has resigned from an organisation representing an American woman who is suing a community run cafe in a row over her dog. Lord George Foulkes has revealed he has resigned as a patron of the Ethnic Minorities Law Centre (EMLC) in protest of their support of Claire Kellerman. The former MP and MSP said the 62-year-old was ‘clearly not an ethnic minority' and hit out at her for taking ‘really quite provocative action against the local people'.
