Structural basis of lipid-dependent allosteric gating mechanisms for PC1-PC2 ion channel
Abstract The polycystin complex, consisting of one polycystin-1 (PC1) and three polycystin-2 (PC2), forms a cation channel localized to the primary cilium and is critically involved in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). This study reveals an allosteric gating mechanism of the PC1-PC2 channel modulated by specific membrane lipids.
Vitamin K and muscle health: mechanisms and clinical perspectives in sarcopenia and beyond: narrative review
Abstract Vitamin K, a fat-soluble micronutrient traditionally recognized for its role in blood coagulation, has increasingly been implicated as a micronutrient with emerging roles in skeletal muscle health.
Structural basis of auxin binding and transport by Arabidopsis thaliana AUX1
Abstract Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), the major form of auxin, is essential for plant growth. Auxin-resistant 1 (AUX1), the first identified auxin importer, plays a crucial role in polar auxin transport (PAT). Here we present cryo-EM structures of Arabidopsis thaliana AUX1 in the IAA-free and IAA-bound states. AUX1 exists as a monomer that contains 11 transmembrane helixes (TMs). TMs 1-5 and 6-10 constitute the two halves of a classic LeuT-fold, and TM11 interacts with both halves at the interface.

Vitamin K2 in Managing Nocturnal Leg Cramps
Key Points Question Can vitamin K2 significantly reduce the frequency, duration, and severity of nocturnal leg cramps (NLCs) in the older population? Findings In this randomized clinical trial involving 199 participants 65 years and older with NLCs, those who received vitamin K2 experienced a significant reduction in the mean frequency of cramps per week compared with the placebo group.
Application of micro/nanomotors in environmental remediation
Application of micro/nanomotors in environmental remediation Micro/nanomotors are ultra-small machines that can navigate autonomously and carry out particular tasks at the micro/nano scale. The micro/nanomotor can act as a "mobile smart" cleaner in complex situations by employing propulsion to degrade contaminants and clear impurities while overcoming resistance since it has a power unit that gives it the essential attribute of continuous movement.
