Why did you become a journalist?

I was mainly fascinated by trends and as I specialise in data it was a natural fit for me.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No, I wrote the odd article in English class

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Showcasing Australia's two-speed economy and highlighting the country really does have a problem in the non-mining part of its economy.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Learn data and MS Excel. Sell your news.

When's the best time to pitch you?

In the afternoon after the morning craziness is out of the way.
