Haha, yes, all through college and grad school. Thank God that's over.

MS Word, Indesign, Photoshop, Dropbox, and occasionally my own brain.

The New York Times, closely, and with bated breath.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

To Love and to Envy, for Psychology Today magazine.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Read, write, submit, repeat.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Pitch for a personal essay to the Jewish Federation magazine I edit, having nothing to do with Judaism.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

New York Times.
