Daniel Gainor’s Biography

Dan Gainor is a veteran editor and writer known for media criticism. He works as a freelance editor for Foxnews.com and also writes occasionally for Fox Opinion. He was formerly vice president of Free Speech America and Business for the Media Research Center which also produces NewsBusters.

He has been published in numerous outlets including, Foxnews, The Washington Times, New York Post and USA Today. Gainor has made more than 10,000 radio and TV appearances critiquing liberal media. He has also testified in front of Congress about media issues on three occasions. Rush Limbaugh read Gainor’s first Senate testimony live.

Gainor is a former sci-fi/fantasy critic who is focusing now on his fiction career. He was recently published in “Mammon: Collateral,” a collection of stories tied to Rob Kroese’s three-book series, and “Amish Rule The World.”

Gainor has also ghost-written two financial advice books. He is working on fiction book projects, but writes short stories as well.

He is a veteran editor with more than 30 years in news and media criticism. Gainor worked as a managing editor for CQ.com, the website of Congressional Quarterly, and executive editor for ChangeWave, published by Phillips International.

Gainor holds an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and a master’s in publications design from the University of Baltimore. As an undergraduate, he majored in political science and history at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
