Dan Goodman is a seasoned entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of experience in the wood flooring industry. He owns and operates TCB Flooring Inc., which specializes in high-end wood flooring services. Beyond flooring, he has also earned certifications as a licensed home inspector and security professional and is passionate about fitness.
Born in 1978 in the Bronx, New York, Dan spent his early years there before moving to Mt. Vernon, NY, at 10. In Mt. Vernon, he first discovered his love for sports, particularly football. His natural ability in the sport made him popular among his peers, but as he progressed into his teenage years, another interest began to take shape. In 1995, he was introduced to wood flooring, which would eventually become his career and business.
While in the wood flooring industry, Dan Goodman from Mt. Vernon pursued further education at Johnson and Wales University, studying hotel and restaurant management and culinary arts. He also dabbled in entrepreneurship by opening a gourmet deli called "Good to Go Delicacies." This venture gave him valuable experience in business management, customer service, and overcoming the challenges of running a small operation.
After gaining experience in wood flooring, Daniel decided to turn his passion into a full-time career by founding TCB Flooring Inc. He takes a hands-on approach to every project, ensuring that each meets his high standards. The company's services include new floor installations, refinishing, and home renovations, reflecting his dedication to providing quality work for his clients.
In 2016, Dan earned a security license, which led him to work as a bar bouncer and later as a manager. These roles helped him develop customer service, conflict resolution, and team management skills. In 2022, he passed the New York State exam to become a licensed home inspector, allowing him to expand further the services he provides to his clients.
As he approaches 30 years in the industry, Dan continues to be deeply committed to his craft. He is also a strong supporter of his community, regularly donating to local charities, including Saints Peter and Paul, Saint Ursula Church, and the Mount Sinai Health System.
Outside of work, Dan Goodman of Westchester, NY, is passionate about combat sports and fitness. He trains in various disciplines, such as boxing, martial arts, and MMA, to maintain physical and mental health. He also enjoys CrossFit, which helps him stay in top physical condition.
