A cross-species atlas platform for comparative neuroscience in teleost fish
Abstract Uncovering general principles connecting neural circuits to behaviour requires comparative brain analyses across species. To advance these efforts, we developed a standardised workflow and a unified brain atlas platform for the quantitative comparison of neural structures between two teleost larvae, medaka (Oryzias latipes) and zebrafish (Danio rerio).

No fue casualidad que los primeros asentamientos se establecieran cerca de vertientes, arroyos y ríos. El agua no solo era indispensable para la vida: también permitía producir los alimentos necesarios para sostener y hacer crecer a las comunidades.

Desde su mismo comienzo, Neuquén plasmó en su texto constitucional de 1957, la idea de fomentar la producción y de promover la industria con sentido regional procurando su instalación en los lugares de origen. Los primeros intentos industrializadores, allá por la década de 1960, buscaban aprovechar el gas que brotaba en gran parte de su suelo.

Abstract How embryos adapt their internal cellular machinery to reductions in cell size during development remains a fundamental question in cell biology. Here, we use high-resolution lattice light-sheet fluorescence microscopy and automated image analysis to quantify lineage-resolved mitotic spindle and chromosome segregation dynamics from the 2- to 64-cell stages in Caenorhabditis elegans embryos.

Chihuídos una espera peligrosa
De la mano de Agua y Energía Eléctrica de la Nación, allá por el año 1977, parecía resucitar aquel viejo proyecto de construir la represa Chihuidos sobre el río Neuquén. Sin embargo, los antecedentes se remontaban a 1965-1967, cuando ese organismo comenzó los estudios para desarrollar un aprovechamiento hidroeléctrico a la altura de Bajada del Agrio y regular al mismo tiempo las crecidas del río. Aunque todo indicaba que el proyecto avanzaría, ocurrió exactamente lo contrario.
Pichachén, la puerta de Vaca Muerta hacia el Pacífico
Por su ubicación geográfica el actual paso internacional Pichachén podría transformarse en una obra estratégica entre Argentina y Chile. A principios del año 2010 la Legislatura de Neuquén aprobó la Ley 2697 por la cual debía incorporarse al Plan director del Desarrollo Neuquino la pavimentación de la ruta provincial 50 y de la ruta provincial 6 (RP 6). En el caso de esta última, la ley habilitaba pavimentar los tramos faltantes entre Rincón de los Sauces y la localidad del El Cholar.

Fotos Gobierno de Santa Cruz. En 2013 se adjudicó a una Unión Transitoria de Empresas (UTE) la construcción de las represas Néstor Kirchner y Jorge Cepernic sobre el río Santa Cruz. El proyecto sería financiado principalmente mediante créditos otorgados por bancos de la República Popular China por un monto de 4.000 millones de dólares. El costo total previsto ascendía a 4.700 millones, por lo que el Estado argentino asumiría el financiamiento de los 700 millones restantes.

Comparative architecture of the tessellated boxfish (Ostracioidea) carapace - Communications Biology
Abstract Tessellations (surface architectures of arrays of hard tiles) are common in natural and man-made designs. Boxfishes (Ostracioidea) are almost completely encased in a tessellated armor and have evolved a plethora of cross-sectional carapace shapes, yet whether the scutes constructing these exhibit comparable variation is unknown. Using high-resolution microCT and semi-automatic segmentation algorithms, we quantitatively examined thousands of scutes from 13 species of diverse body form.

Preserving maximum lung function is a fundamental goal of parenchymal-sparing pulmonary laser surgery. Long-term studies for follow-up of lung function after pulmonary laser metastasectomy are lacking. However, a sufficient postoperative lung function is essential for quality of life and reduces potential postoperative complications. In this study, we investigate the extent of loss in lung function following pulmonary laser resection after three, six, and twelve months.

Si la Nación habla por el 49% de las acciones con futuros posibles inversores, ya sean los actuales o nuevos, sin plena participación y el consenso de las provincias involucradas, se estaría equivocando. El tiempo pasa rápido y lo que parecería muy lejano hace casi 30 años cuando se otorgaban las concesiones hidroeléctricas, hoy vemos que están llegando a su fin, en 2023 vencen algunos contratos y por lo tanto varias centrales hidroeléctricas deberán volver a manos del Estado.
