Spokane Valley crash closes southbound State Highway 27 near 24th Avenue

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported a three-vehicle injury hit-and-run crash on State Highway 27 at 24th Avenue in Spokane Valley that left southbound traffic closed and blocked one lane in each direction. WSP said that the crash happened at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday near milepost 83.7. WSP said that multiple units were also sent to Bowdish and Valleyway in Spokane Valley. State patrol reported the driver who ran from the crash was taken into custody.

Spokane Valley Rollover Crash leaves woman seriously hurt, investigation ongoing

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A woman was seriously injured in a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon in Spokane Valley. According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded around 2 p.m. to East Appleway Boulevard and South Farr Road, where a black Nissan Sentra had rolled over. When deputies arrived, they found a woman trapped underneath the vehicle and a man pinned inside the driver's compartment.

Quincy man found not guilty in 2023 Soap Lake ice cream shop attack case

SOAP LAKE, Wash. — A 51-year-old Quincy man accused of cutting his wife’s throat at a Soap Lake ice cream shop in 2023 was found not guilty of attempted first-degree murder. According to police, around 11:45 a.m. on July 13, 2023, emergency responders with the Soap Lake Police Department responded to the Tutti Frutti Bar Ice Cream Shop, where a woman was found lying on the sidewalk with a severe neck injury. Police said bystanders were providing first aid when officers arrived.
