Statins promote muscle metabolic danger and NLRP3-mediated myopathy via lower protein-prenylation and YAP
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Statin intolerance and side effects such as low-level myopathy limit statin use and the dose for optimal cholesterol lowering.
Intermittent fasting influences immunity and metabolism
Highlights Obesity compromises metabolic flexibility and increases specific immune responses. Fasting forces metabolic flexibility and alters glucose, fatty acids, glycerol, and amino acids to maintain blood glucose and energy balance. Intermittent fasting (IF) lowers inflammation and opposes metabolic dysfunction during obesity. IF can improve glucose metabolism independent of changes in obesity. Gut microbiota composition altered by IF triggers changes in immunity and metabolism.
Interpretation of Spin-Wave Modes in $\mathrm{Co}$/$\mathrm{Ag}$ Nanodot Arrays Probed by Broadband Ferromagnetic Resonance
We present a detailed investigation of the magnetization dynamics in Co/Ag nanodots, which due to their size can support standing spin-wave (SSW) modes with complex spectral responses. To interpret the experimentally measured broadband vector network analyzer ferromagnetic resonance data, we compare the spectra of the nanoarray structure with those of the unpatterned Co/Ag film of identical thickness, which serves as a baseline for obtaining the general magnetic parameters of the system.
Kinase inhibitors for cancer alter metabolism, blood glucose, and insulin
Journal of Endocrinology is committed to supporting researchers in demonstrating the impact of their articles published in the journal. The two types of article metrics we measure are (i) more traditional full-text views and pdf downloads, and (ii) Altmetric data, which shows the wider impact of articles in a range of non-traditional sources, such as social media. More information is on the Reasons to publish page.
