ID@XBOX’s slogan should be “Better late than never”. All too often Xbox gamers are the last ones to get indie games. Steam and Switch almost always get them first, sometimes it’s Playstation, and on the rare occasion, we’ll get one. Devolver Digital is one of my favorite publishers but they are notorious for making Xbox gamers wait. Luckily the wait is over for one of the most talked about indie games of last year: Inscryption.

Raegan Thompson February 22nd, 2022 - 9:18 PM South by Southwest (SXSW)  just announced Jana Morrison and Samantha Aucoin as hosts for their annual Gaming Awards segment which will be accessible to stream on Saturday, March 12 at 7pm CT. Morrison and Aucoin are stars of SyFy’s new critically acclaimed series Astrid & Lilly Save the World and state that “We’re so excited..NO..Ecstatic to be your hosts for the 2022 SXSW Gaming Awards!” They said in a joint statement.

It’s honestly hard to know just where to start with Inscryption, without risking spoiling the entire game, but I’ll be damned if I don’t give it my best shot. It’s no secret that indies hold a special place in my heart, and  I’ll be frank in saying that  Inscryption was one of my favorite games of 2021. I get it, that’s an incredibly bold claim, but here are a few reasons why I loved it so much. My favorite card at the height of his power: Elder Geck.
