No differences in prevalence of prediabetes, T2D, nor abnormal fasting glucose were observed between women with or without previous GDM (p = 0.36–0.58, Table 1). Noteworthy, is an overall T2D prevalence in the entire cohort (n = 197) of 17.8 % and an overall prevalence of prediabetes of 47.7 % and 67.5 %, according to WHO and ADA criteria, respectively (Table 1). FPG was high in both groups (6.4 ± 0.8 mmol/L (no-GDM) vs. 6.3 ± 0.8 mmol/L (GDM), Table 2).
