Step 4: Surgical Treatment of Meniscal Pathology Meniscal pathology can now be addressed surgically with superior visualization, resulting in a more accurate diagnosis and more complete resection of pathology. No postoperative bracing is used. The patient is allowed to bear weight as tolerated. Table 1 presents advantages and disadvantages of the described surgical technique, and Table 2 lists pearls and pitfalls.
