Peoria police close Liberty High School hazing investigation

After almost a year of investigating Liberty High School's wrestling program for alleged hazing allegations, Peoria Police have officially ended their investigation. What we know: In the fall of 2025, the investigation began and head wrestling coach Eric Brenton was placed on administrative leave. The school's allegations came from a former wrestler's parent whose son is now an adult. Several other families have spoken up about allegations of hazing and sexual misconduct.

The Brief APS has doubled its deployment of artificial intelligence cameras over the last year to detect wildfires in high-risk areas across Arizona. The 24-7 early detection system provides instantaneous alerts to a command center, drastically reducing notification times from days to minutes.

APS is using AI cameras to detect wildfires. In the last year, the company has doubled the number of cameras placed throughout the state. "They are placed on mountain tops all throughout the state, so we have those in Flagstaff over to the Globe area. We just installed one on Thompson Peak overlooking the Scottsdale area, and we have them in the Southeast as well," Cynthia Cobold, supervisor of fire science and meteorology at APS, said.
