Danny Duncan Collum is a popular culture columnist for U.S. Catholic and a professor of English and journalism at Kentucky State University in Frankfort.. Collum is the author of three nonfiction books (Black and Catholic in the Jim Crow South, Rising to Common Ground, Black and White Together) the editor of a fourth (African Americans in the Spanish Civil War) and author of the novel, “White Boy.”
