Grain-boundary-rich cobalt selenide hollow multi-shelled structure as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for lithium-sulfur batteries
Grain-boundary-rich cobalt selenide hollow multi-shelled structure as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for lithium-sulfur batteries Catalytic conversion of polysulfides has been regarded as an effective strategy to suppress the shuttle effect in lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries by accelerating the conversion of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs). However, the rational design of high-performance sulfur electrocatalysts still remains a big challenge.

Oxygen-incorporated crystalline/amorphous heterophase cobalt vanadium selenide nanoplates with dense interfacial sites for robust lithium-sulfur batteries
Oxygen-incorporated crystalline/amorphous heterophase cobalt vanadium selenide nanoplates with dense interfacial sites for robust lithium-sulfur batteries The practical applications of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are severely impeded by the shuttle effect of soluble lithium polysulfides (LiPSs), sluggish redox reaction kinetics, and insulating nature of sulfur and its discharge products (Li2S2/Li2S).
Topological insulator bismuth selenide with unique cloud-like hollow structure as a bidirectional electrocatalyst for robust lithium-sulfur batteries
Topological insulator bismuth selenide with unique cloud-like hollow structure as a bidirectional electrocatalyst for robust lithium-sulfur batteries Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have attracted widespread attentions because of their high energy density, low cost and environment friendly. Unfortunately, the practical applicability of Li-S batteries is seriously restricted by the shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of soluble lithium polysulfides (LiPSs).

Construction of molybdenum vanadium oxide/nitride hybrid nanoplate arrays for aqueous zinc-ion batteries and reliable insights into reaction mechanism
Construction of molybdenum vanadium oxide/nitride hybrid nanoplate arrays for aqueous zinc-ion batteries and reliable insights into reaction mechanism Vanadium (V)-based cathode materials hold great potential for rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs). However, the shortcomings of poor electrical conductivity, large volume change, serious V dissolution and complicated electrochemical reaction mechanism seriously restrict their practical applications.

Dendritic Unzipped Carbon Nanofibers Enable Uniformly Loading of Surfactant-Free Pd Nanoparticles for Electroanalysis of Small Biomolecules
In this study, graphene nanofiber (GNF), a superior support material, has been successfully synthesized via dendritic unzipping of the stacked-cup carbon nanofiber (SCNF). Ultrasmall Pd nanoparticles uniformly dispersed on the GNF (Pd /GNF) has been synthesized via chemical reduction under mild condition without any surfactant involved.
