It's been six years since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Still, up to 30% of people infected with the virus now face some long-term consequences, and 15% of long Covid patients suffer for over a year. In 2024, at least 36 million people across the EU struggled with this condition. Since then, the numbers have dropped, but remain significant. In Germany, for instance, the government reported 1.5 million patients with post-Covid and chronic fatigue syndrome last year.
