1. Introduction In the last decades particular attention has been paid to the reduction and minimization of the ecological footprint of industries and means of transport. Regulatory bodies worldwide are focusing on implementing stringent measures to govern the pollutant emissions from these facilities [1]. In this framework, small-scale power plants used in the marine sector play a crucial role in terms of pollutants.
