Patrick “Panye” Mukabi, painter, tutor, imaginer, always stood tall, ready to lend a hand, an eye, a piece of advice, a gentle nudge, always in the service of others. Miss your day and you will have to keep the trash a week longer awaiting the next collection date when the beaten-up lorries full of garbage labour through city estates in mid-morning collecting the waste produced by city dwellers.
