These are proud days for the Sault Female Hockey Association. Six of the league’s players are heading off to play college hockey while pursuing post-secondary education in the fall. The commitments underscore the Greyhounds’ growing pipeline to college hockey — from NCAA programs to ACHA teams — as the association ramps up recruiting for next season, with SFHA registration open until July 31. 'We come every year': Poutine Feast draws a hungry crowd

Saultites enjoyed fries, poutine and cheese curds – along with many other delicious combinations – at the annual Poutine Feast, running at the Downtown Plaza this week. Business was brisk on Thursday as five different poutine vendors served the public. “We come every year,” said customer Emma Hotchkiss, who stopped by with her mother Patricia Montesi. They each enjoyed an order of deep-fried cheese curd poutine from The Tragically Chip Wagon.

The recent Fair Work Commission decision of Rabin Gurung v Knauf Gypsum Pty Ltd [2026] FWC 2371, provides useful guidance for employers responding to work from home requests involving caring responsibilities for young children. In this decision, Commissioner Matheson accepted that the employer had reasonable business grounds to refuse a payroll officer’s request for an exemption to return to office requirements, where the request involved primary care of his two young children.
