At the centre of this next chapter is Niall O'Carroll, who was appointed High Performance Director in September 2025.

For Laurie Ryan, her earliest soccer memory was lining out for the Lifford ladies in her native Ennis. The numbers just weren’t there to field a full team so five-aside games became the norm. The highlight back then was playing in a primary school competition, her team enjoyed success in Clare and Munster and went on a run to the All-Ireland.

Pat has been through some tough times of his own, so it will take more than a pandemic to knock him off course. The Corkman was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 18, prior to his Leaving Cert in 1991. He survived after having a bone in his left knee replaced.
