Introduction Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary bone tumour in children and adolescents. It has an incidence of three million cases per year and accounts for nearly five million deaths worldwide.1 OS occurs in growing bone tissue and consists of immature undifferentiated osteoclast cells.

Abstract Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and resistant Escherichia coli (rE.coli) infections can spread rapidly. Further they are associated with high morbidity and mortality from treatment failure. Therapy involves multiple rounds of ineffective antibiotics alongside unwanted side effects, alternative treatments are crucial.
