Dathan Kazsuk’s Biography

Dathan Kazsuk is a seasoned writer and editor based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with over 25 years of experience in magazine and news writing. He co-founded Triangle Around Town in 2013, a publication dedicated to exploring wine, beer, food and travel in North Carolina and beyond.

Dathan's work has been prominently featured in Midtown Magazine, where he covers a diverse range of topics, including in-depth looks at local eateries and recaps of culinary competitions. Beyond his editorial pursuits, Dathan serves as the co-chair of the Triangle Wine Society, reflecting his passion for wine and the local culinary scene.

Before joining Midtown Magazine in August 2022, Dathan dedicated over 19 years to the Triangle Business Journal as the Design Editor and writer, where he contributed to writing, photography and design. His extensive experience also includes roles at the Merced Sun-Star, Atwater Signal and San Jose Mercury News in California.

Dathan's passion for the beverage industry is further evident in his previous role as a freelance beer columnist for Cary Magazine. He resides in north Raleigh with his wife, Jennifer, and their two rescue cats, Winifred Waffles and TiaMisu.
