Why did you become a journalist?
As I said in a previous answer, I love telling stories about human competition, turning raw material into a finished story.

Story on a 10-year-old youth hockey player who beat a neuroblastoma.

Read, read, read (for knowledge). Write, write, write (for reps). Network your behind off (for jobs).
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A story on a local youth football team that had been invited to play at Disney World. I was pItched on the story to help the team raise mone.
