Dave Kindy’s Biography
I am an experienced feature writer and book reviewer who specializes in history and nonfiction topics. My articles have appeared in the Boston Globe, Providence Journal, Journal of the American Revolution, Mayflower Quarterly and Old Colony Memorial, among others. Currently, I am working on writing assignments for Military History, Vietnam and Aviation History magazines. I am a former journalist who recently returned to writing with a passion. I have received several awards for my writing, including a 1980 JC Penney Missouri Journalism Award. I am a lifelong lover of history who has read, studied, researched and written about a wide range of historical topics, including the American Revolution, Civil War, World War I, World War II and the Pilgrims. Currently, I am writing a book about an event that happened in Plymouth, Mass., during the American Revolution. I am a former vice president of the Pilgrim Society, which operates Pilgrim Hall Museum, the oldest continuously operating public museum in the country. I live a stone’s throw from Plymouth Rock in, of course, Plymouth with his wife Elynor and black Lab Harry.
