1. Introduction Atmospheric pollution is a global problem that is closely related to the way in which man satisfies his needs and develops the everyday activities, which depend on industrial production, energy generation, and transportation, all of them generating atmospheric pollutants that deteriorate air quality []. A pollutant of interest in the deterioration of air quality is particulate matter (PM), also known as atmospheric aerosol.

Abstract : Particulate matter (PM), particle pollution that can travel long distances, is a big concern because it contains liquid droplets or microscopic solids resulting in significant health issues such as respirational and cancer problems. Therefore, the characterization of these particles is very significant as a hazard to public health. PM can be identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy (RS), both powerful and non-destructive technologies.
