David Allen’s Biography

Suffice to say a lengthy working career, now writing about topics I have some knowledge of. My books 'The Sophisticated Alcoholic', 'The Living Vote', Life According to the Soul' (publication date 30/06/2026) and a chapter (22) in the best seller 'Memories of the Afterlife'. My Substack consists largely of political observations and most importantly solutions. I like to think of my current occupation as a solutionist, from introducing the very first 'Same Day Service System' as a service manager with British Gas in the 70s, to the voter empowering 'The Living Vote' in 2021 and the unique and innovative behavioural approach to alcohol dependency as in 'The Sophisticated Alcoholic' (2011) edited by Dr James Kustow.
A former Borough Council, County Council, Parliamentary Candidate and Leadership candidate for UKIP and a former Parliamentary candidate for my own party (The Fairer Voting Party, now de-registered) in 2024.
Through a longish life, to date, doing real things, listening and learning always, is a decent basis from which to comment and innovate. However, as always, you will be the judge.
