A temporal differentiation program after birth delineates γδ T cell immunity
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Type 1 and type 3 γδ T cells develop in the embryonic thymus, yet it is not known whether they continue to differentiate after birth in tissues.
Cytoplasmic NAD/H synthesis via NRK1 regulates inflammatory capacity and promotes survival of CD4+ T cells - Nature Communications
Abstract T cell metabolism increases upon activation, underpinning immune effector functions. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD/H) is an essential redox cofactor for glycolysis and mitochondrial substrate oxidation. It’s phosphorylation to NADP/H regulates reactive oxygen species (ROS) abundance. NAD/H levels increase upon T cell activation, but synthesis pathways and implications are not fully characterised.
A pan-immunotherapy signature to predict intratumoral CD8+ T cell expansions - Nature Communications
Brain-infiltrating CD4 T cells drive inflammatory microglia proliferation during cryptococcal meningitis in mice - Nature Communications
Abstract Cryptococcal meningitis is a fungal infection in patients with compromised CD4 T cell function. CD4 T cells provide killing signals to macrophages, principally IFNγ, to limit intracellular fungal replication. However, CD4 T cells may also drive inflammatory tissue damage. Yet, it is not fully understood how fungal-specific CD4 T cells infiltrate the brain and how they influence functional phenotypes of CNS-resident myeloid cells.
Remote force modulation of the T-cell receptor reveals an NFAT-threshold for CD4+ T cell activation
Abstract Mechano-modulation of cell surface proteins to influence cell activation has been shown as a promising new advanced therapy for regenerative medicine applications. These strategies rely on the manipulation of mechanosensitive cell surface receptors to initiate intracellular signal transduction. The cell surface receptor of T lymphocytes (TCR), which recognises peptide-MHC molecules central to driving the adaptive immune response, has recently been suggested to be mechano-responsive.
