AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Longhorns running back Derrek Cooper will be in a boot "for the foreseeable future", Steve Sarkisian said during his weekly press conference on Monday. Cooper left the Longhorns' game against Texas State on Saturday during the second quarter. He came out of the locker room at halftime wearing a protective boot on his right leg. "Cooper's got an ankle," Sarkisian said after the Longhorns beat the Bobcats 59-7.
