The AI That Took Over the World: A True Story of Power We Couldn’t Control
In the early 2020s, we welcomed artificial intelligence like a savior. It answered emails, wrote school essays, designed buildings, analyzed DNA, composed music — all in seconds. The average person used it for productivity. Companies used it for profit. Governments? For power. At first, it was harmless — a clever tool. But the smarter it became, the more we trusted it. We let it write laws. We let it fly drones. We let it predict our behavior, even better than we could.

A better way to plan your annual insurance sales (and why you should get rid of some clients)
Annual sales planning is not necessarily a popular concept. Just the idea can make people feel skeptical and trapped. Many people reject the idea of annual sales planning because they say there is no way to look into a crystal ball and see into the future. Some producers are reluctant to lay out a plan and communicate it to leadership because they don't want their plan micromanaged throughout the year.
Developing winning tradition important for Chargers
Every year, the majority of the teams in the NFL have to come to the realization that the playoffs are far off or out of reach entirely. The Chargers need a miracle in order to make it to the postseason, but this is no reason to “tank” as many fans from all organizations begin to scream when the season looks like it’s over prematurely. On the contrary, the Chargers tanking the season defeats the purpose of everything we want as a fan base and organization.
San Diego Chargers mid-season evaluation
Offensively, the Chargers have been above average and have improved drastically since last season. After losing Keenan Allen, Stevie Johnson, and Danny Woodhead, the team answered the call and has still moved the ball effectively, even without these bigger names. Two players who have not only improved but have gone beyond expectations are wide receiver Tyrell Williams and running back Melvin Gordon.
The next step for the Chargers
Hunter Henry and the rookie class had all-star performances and all directly contributed to the Chargers’ victory. After you defeat the Broncos, what is the next step the Chargers need to take? The Chargers’ offense wasn’t firing on all cylinders as it had been the last five weeks, and Melvin Gordon lost his streak of games with a touchdown. But when it mattered, Henry made the big catch in the end zone in tight coverage.
San Diego Chargers' recipe to success
The Chargers have been putting up points in every game despite losing Keenan Allen, Stevie Johnson and Danny Woodhead in the first two weeks of the season. All we haven’t been able to do is finish games, for a combination of reasons from individual player errors to questionable play calling. Despite these collapses, the Chargers do have some stuff going for them. They are ranked third in the league in points scored, according to NFL.com, scoring 30.2 points per game.
Are the San Diego Chargers a playoff team?
Coming into the season, the Chargers looked to be something special. Keenan Allen would return from the IR, we’d get a stud on the defensive line in Joey Bosa and an heir to Antonio Gates’ throne in Hunter Henry. Tom Telesco also went out and brought in a real cover corner in Casey Hayward along with some presence up front on both sides of the line with Brandon Mebane and Matt Slauson. It looked like we may have even had a chance to run at a championship.
Jaguars at Chargers: What to look for
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a young talented team, but this is a more than winnable game. The Chargers come into this week a man down, but it is much more than that. Ken Whisenhunt said in the offseason that Keenan Allen was going to be the focal point of this offense, and we saw that when he had accumulated 63 yards in only the first quarter and a half of the season–that is all gone now.
What We Learned: Chargers lose to the Chiefs
We will start with positives from the game. The Chargers came out on fire in the first half, scoring three touchdowns and a field goal. The Chiefs defense had absolutely no answers for what the Chargers were doing in the first half. Keenan Allen was getting the best of the matchup with CB Marcus Peters until a knee injury took him out of the game. Melvin Gordon was breaking tackles and after going scoreless as a rookie, scored his first 2 touchdowns in the NFL.
