Previews will begin on 7 December at the St James Theatre, with casting to be announced at a later date. The Broadway revival of Chess will end its run at the Imperial Theatre on Sunday 21 June, the originally scheduled departure date of star Lea Michele. Chess will have played just over 250 performances by closing, nearly four times longer than the original Broadway production. Michele’s announced replacement, JoJo Levesque, will no longer be performing in the show.
