I'm a digital PR consultant.
I have clients across the UK and Europe.
I started out in PR consultancy in 1997: when we posted press releases.
Before that I was a journalist.
I set up my own PR company in 2014. It's called Zude PR.
Prior to that I was head of office (Glasgow) at international public relations firm Weber Shandwick.
I blog a lot. Mainly on my site. But also the odd guest post (Ted Rubin's site, Coverage Book, PR Daily, Stephen Waddington's site, Prezly, PR Moment).
I firmly believe that while media relations is still crucial for PRs, good practitioners should understand and practise content marketing, social media marketing, and (crucially) SEO.
I am a contributor to #PRstack and a Fellow of my industry trade body the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
I live in Glasgow with my wife Rachel, and sons Zak and Jude (what would happen if I conflated their names).
I don't have much me time. But when I do, I like nothing better than lacing up my trainers and going running.
My marathon PB (London, 2015) is 2:42.
