, 21 August 2026 Around the time I first started writing for Thinky Games, I was offered the opportunity to review the demo for Servant of the Lake. Unfortunately for me, it had been so long since I’d played any of the games that I didn’t feel my patchy memory would do the piece justice. Anyone remotely familiar with the series will know that it boasts a deliciously rich, if not completely bonkers, narrative, so it really benefited the expertise of someone more informed.

, 18 May 2026 We’ve all had those experiences where a ‘must-play’ accolade causes us to ignore our better judgement and, despite not enjoying it, attempt to play the same game multiple times, simply because the overwhelmingly positive reviews mean we must be missing something. The first game that ever happened to me was with Into the Breach.

, 21 April 2026 I’m ashamed to say I didn’t catch all of the 3rd Annual Thinky Awards earlier this year, so I only recently discovered that Sol Cesto had won the award for Best Art Direction. I had heard about the game from my roguelite-pilled friend a while back, but the extent of my looking into it at the time involved seeing some cover art, thinking it was a game about a bizarro grown-up Astro Boy, and then promptly forgetting about it.
