David Stubbs joined the music magazine Melody Maker in 1986, where he worked for 12 years writing, among other things, the Talk Talk Talk parody section. He has also written for The Guardian, NME, The Wire and Uncut. His has written books on Jimi Hendrix, Eminem and the footballer Charlie Nicholas
