1. Introduction The administration of cannabinoids to pediatric palliative care patients is increasingly coming into the focus of attention for European treating physicians, patients, and patients’ parents due to the current discussion in Europe, especially in Germany, about the controlled dispensing of cannabis to adults. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays an essential regulatory role in many physiological processes [ 1 ] since the ECS has widespread effects on human physiology.
