The sample sizes are very small compared to running backs and wide receivers, it is a wonky position in the NFL itself and so on and so forth. If you ask five people who their RB2 is in the 2026 class, you might get 5 different answers. Jadarian Price, Jonah Coleman, Emmett Johnson, Mike Washington Jr. or if you have someone out in left field, you might even find a Penn State running back answer. As it stands right now, I think that Emmett Johnson is probably my answer, but I am not certain if he will back that up with his performance at the combine. Coleman, on the other hand, looks like a prototype NFL running back prospect.

Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price is the most interesting profile in the 2026 NFL draft for me (so far). I do not recall very many instances of a player projected to go in the 2nd round who was the 2nd RB on his college team and had fewer than 300 rushes in college. The closest comp in my head was Felix Jones (Darren McFadden was the Jerimiyah Love in that situation), but Jones still racked up 23 touchdowns in 3 seasons on 7.7 yards per carry. I have been deep in an existential pit thinking about what it means for DFS after Jacoby Brissett's quad stacks won a million dollars last week. I am not going to pretend to be Youdacao or Nerdy Tenor, but after a decade plus playing these games, I do think that I have developed the ability to take the temperature of the games and determine what will be the GTO strategy, even if that makes it harder to win.

What an insanely good week of games, at least if you like close scores. You could argue that we are in a doldrums period for offenses (and I would agree), but unlike the Week 10 games, we had MIA/WAS, HOU/TEN, MIN/CHI, SEA/LAR, and DEN/KC all come down to literal last-minute field goals. If teams are going to be bad and struggle to gain yards and score points, at least they can make the witching hour interesting.

This may not exactly relate to fantasy football (though I am pretty sure that it does) but it was very nice to see NFL games actually coming down to the 4th quarter this week. LV/DEN, ATL/IND, NYG/CHI, MIN/BAL (barely), CLE/NYJ, and TB/NE were all undecided in the fourth quarter. Don't get me wrong, we had some massive blowouts, particularly in the afternoon slate of games, but there is no doubt that the NFL is a more enjoyable product when the games matter.

My wife is expecting our first child, basically any day/hour/minute at this point, and as it is my first child, I do not have any idea of what to realistically expect in terms of work! RJ Harvey had been bolted to the bench in all my high-stakes leagues but had to start over Lions/Jags/Seahawks players and rewarded us with three touchdowns on six touches. As we get to the halfway point of the regular season, most of us have already decided if a given fantasy team is any good or not.

More so than any year I have played fantasy football, this season is going to be about "Did you draft the guys who mattered?" Some of our precious rookies are scoring the way that we want them to, some of them are hilariously bad picks. There are only FIVE total players scoring 19 or more fantasy points per game: CMC, JT, Bijan, Puka Nacua and Josh Jacobs (technically, Rashee Rice, but it was only one game).

If you somehow do not have an injured player on your fantasy football team, congrats on likely winning your league championship! Two of the biggest win rate players in the NFL (Egbuka, Puka) suffered injuries this last week, while another injury fill-in (Rico Dowdle) just had the first back-to-back 200-yard scrimmage game in the NFL since Dalvin Cook. It is an unfortunate reality of fantasy football that, for as many things we can control, there are just as many we can't.

Folks, it was supposed to be a bad year for zero RB! Meanwhile, all the elite RD1 wide receivers who have not suffered season-ending injuries are smashing. Even Ladd McConkey scored a touchdown.
