Richland, Wash. — Adventures Underground brought people together in Richland with a free weekend celebration tied to the shop’s 19th birthday. The event took place at the store in Richland's Uptown Shopping Center and marked the business's fifth Mushroom Fest. The shop hosted three days of vendors, food and activities for the public at no cost. Events were held inside the store and in the parking lot.

RICHLAND, Wash. — The Port of Benton officially dedicated the USS Triton Sail Park in Richland to former Port of Benton Commissioner Robert D. Larson Thursday morning. Robert Larson served with the Port of Benton from 1999 to 2021 and helped bring several projects to life across Benton County. His widow, Shirley Larson, said the sail park stood apart from the rest. KENNEWICK, Wash. — Kennewick opened their new solid waste processing facility Wednesday morning with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. Attending the ribbon cutting were public works and other officials from across the state and nation. The city unveiled the project after seven years of work, costing $43.6 million. Caleb Shannon, project engineer for the City of Kennewick, says the new facility aims to replace old lagoons that store wastewater above ground, creating a pungent odor.
