Should proton pump inhibitors be used for glucocorticoid-related upper gastrointestinal bleeding prevention in patients with autoimmune liver disease? A real-world cohort study
Abstract Background and aims: Glucocorticoids (GCs) as a key therapeutic option for autoimmune liver diseases (AILDs) are associated with an increased risk of upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB). Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are widely used for the prevention and treatment of drug-related UGIB. However, it is unclear whether PPI can be used for the prevention of GC-related UGIB in patients with AILD.
Reassessing the Baveno based strategy in China: a cost-effectiveness analysis of screening for high-risk varices in cirrhosis
Abstract Background & Aims: The Baveno consensus recommends using liver stiffness measurement (LSM) and platelet count to avoid endoscopy in low-risk patients with compensated advanced chronic liver disease (cACLD). This study aimed to compare the cost-effectiveness of the Baveno-based selective screening vs. universal screening strategy for high-risk varices (HRV) in a Chinese cACLD cohort.
Simulation and Prediction of Springback in Sheet Metal Bending Process Based on Embedded Control System
1. Introduction Sheet metal bending, a pivotal process in cold metalworking, holds paramount significance in industries such as home appliances and automotive manufacturing due to its strengths in high durability, lightweight construction, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manipulation [1,2,3]. As a vital industrial tool for this purpose, the bending machine has garnered widespread adoption in sheet metal processing due to its straightforward operation and robust process adaptability [4,5,6].
Ionic-Liquid-Assisted synthesis of N, F, and P codoped FeNC/HSs on hollow carbon nanospheres for Li-S batteries
With the increasing demand for energy derived from fossil fuels, the development of advanced energy storage systems has become critical. Lithium–sulfur (Li-S) batteries have garnered significant attention due to their high theoretical specific capacity (1675mAh/g) and gravimetric energy density (2600 Wh kg−1). [1], [2] Additionally, sulfur is abundant, low-cost, and environmentally friendly compared to other advanced energy storage systems such as lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries.

Linear cross-entropy benchmarking with Clifford circuits
With the advent of quantum processors exceeding 100 qubits and the high engineering complexities involved, there is a need for holistically benchmarking the processor to have quality assurance. Linear cross-entropy benchmarking (XEB) has been used extensively for systems with 50 or more qubits but is fundamentally limited in scale due to the exponentially large computational resources required for classical simulation.
Compiling arbitrary single-qubit gates via the phase shifts of microwave pulses
Abstract We give an arbitrary single-qubit gate compilation scheme on superconducting processors that takes advantage of tuning the phase shift of microwave pulses to obtain a continuous gate set. This scheme is compatible with any two-qubit gate, and we only need to calibrate the Xπ and Xπ/2 pulses. We report an experimental implementation on a fluxonium device in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 130, 070601 (2023)] and obtain state-of-the-art fidelities.
Randomized Benchmarking beyond Groups
Abstract Randomized benchmarking (RB) is the gold standard for experimentally evaluating the quality of quantum operations. The current framework for RB is centered on groups and their representations but this can be problematic. For example, Clifford circuits need up to O(n2) gates and thus Clifford RB cannot scale to larger devices.

Columna | Ya no me vuelvo a Pekín
MOF-derived Co1.11Te2 with half-metallic characteristic for efficient photochemical conversion of CO2 under visible-light irradiation
MOF-derived Co1.11Te2 with half-metallic characteristic for efficient photochemical conversion of CO2 under visible-light irradiation Material of Co1.11Te2, prepared by using MOF as self-template, showed excellent catalytic performance in the photoconversion of CO2 to CO. Experimental and theoretical evidences demonstrate that Co1.11Te2 has half-metallic nature, which is conducive to transferring electrons as well as enhancing the activity of catalytic reduction.
Nickel Nanoparticles Individually Encapsulated in Densified Ceramic Shells for Thermally Stable Solar Energy Absorption
Nickel Nanoparticles Individually Encapsulated in Densified Ceramic Shells for Thermally Stable Solar Energy Absorption DaWei Ding, Kai Liu, Qikui Fan, Bitao Dong, Yang Zhang, Yadong Yin, Chuanbo Gao and Shujiang Ding Abstract While non-noble transition metal nanoparticles are widely explored in the field of solar energy harvesting and conversion at high temperatures, their high tendency to diffusion and oxidation may cause substantially reduced lifetime of the devices.
Squid Suckerin Microneedle Arrays for Tunable Drug Release
Microneedles are increasingly used in transdermal delivery of therapeutic agents due to the elimination of first-pass metabolism, simplicity of operation, and lack of pain, which collectively lead to improved patient compliance. However, microneedles are still met by challenges with regard to the choice of biocompatible materials and the control of drug release profiles.
