“This is my year. Starting January 1, I will read the Bible every day, and by December 31, I will have read the entire Bible. The entire Bible. In one year. I’m ready.” Those were my words, and that was my plan. Spoiler alert: It didn’t work. Maybe for the same reasons Bible reading plans haven’t worked for members in your church. We begin a Bible reading plan with great passion and excitement, but before long, we’re just a little bit behind. Then, life happens, and we’re just a little further behind.
