By Dawn Sherill-Porter “I just got up, and I’m already behind.” Have you ever said that? These days, it’s easy to feel like we start every day with fewer hours than we need to check all our boxes and get all our things done. It’s a simple fact: Life will get as busy as we let it.

“This is my year. Starting January 1, I will read the Bible every day, and by December 31, I will have read the entire Bible. The entire Bible. In one year. I’m ready.” Those were my words, and that was my plan. Spoiler alert: It didn’t work. Maybe for the same reasons Bible reading plans haven’t worked for members in your church. We begin a Bible reading plan with great passion and excitement, but before long, we’re just a little bit behind. Then, life happens, and we’re just a little further behind.
