Introduction Cervical cancer is the most prevalent gynecological malignancy worldwide and remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality in women (1). While the advent of surgery, concurrent chemoradiotherapy, and intrauterine irradiation has significantly improved the overall response rates and survival outcomes for cervical cancer patients, these treatments have limited efficacy in cases of recurrent or metastatic disease (2).
