[2609.32136] Geometry-Controlled Polarization Photocurrents in Scalable PtSe2 Infrared Pixels
Polarization-sensitive photodetectors provide multi-dimensional optical information beyond the capabilities of traditional intensity-based detectors. The noble metal dichalcogenide PtSe2 presents unique opportunities for tunable polarization detection due to its strong spin-orbit coupling, material stability, customizable broadband polarization responses, and direct compatibility with a wide range of substrates for back-end-of-line silicon integration.
A comprehensive assessment of tandem repeat genotyping methods for Nanopore long-read genomes
The authors would like to thank Brent Pedersen for feedback on the early concept and methodology, and Laurel Hiatt for feedback on the manuscript. We are grateful to the other members of the 1000 Genomes Long-Read Sequencing Consortium who provided feedback and support, especially Theo Nelson for feedback on this manuscript and Miten Jain for assistance with data management and sharing.

Methylome analysis of FTLD patients with TDP-43 pathology identifies epigenetic signatures specific to pathological subtypes - Molecular Neurodegeneration
Human post-mortem samples from patients pathologically diagnosed with FTLD-TDP and neuropathologically normal controls were selected from the Mayo Clinic Brain Bank. The diagnosis of FTLD-TDP was made by an expert neuropathologist at one of the collaborating sites, based on the presence of TDP-43 positive inclusions as well as neuronal loss and gliosis in the frontal and temporal cortices.
Methylome analysis of FTLD patients with TDP-43 pathology identifies epigenetic signatures specific to pathological subtypes - Molecular Neurodegeneration
Abstract In the last decade, the importance of DNA methylation in the functioning of the central nervous system has been highlighted through associations between methylation changes and differential expression of key genes involved in aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
Increased TMEM106B levels lead to lysosomal dysfunction which affects synaptic signaling and neuronal health - Molecular Neurodegeneration
Methods Wild-type human TMEM106B (T185) cDNA was cloned into the CAG-Z-IRES-EGFP vector (provided by Yuji Mishina, University of Michigan) using AflII and SpeI sites. The CAG-Z-TMEM106B-IRES-EGFP construct was then was injected into fertilized oocytes from C57BL/6 female mice and implanted into pseudopregnant ICR mice to generate the Cre-inducible TMEM106B overexpression mice (Mayo Clinic Transgencic Core, Jacksonville).
Methylmap: visualization of modified nucleotides for large cohort sizes - BMC Bioinformatics
In recent years, epigenetics has become a crucial topic of interest for understanding biological functions. Nucleotide modifications, particularly 5-methylcytosine (5mC) in eukaryotes, exhibit diverse physiological functions such as the regulation of gene expression, including genomic imprinting and X-chromosome inactivation, as well as repression of transposons [1].
Exploring eye-movement changes as digital biomarkers and endophenotypes in subclinical eating disorders: an eye tracking study - BMC Psychiatry
The goal of this research was to explore the existence of eye movement changes, previously identified in individuals with AN, within a population with subclinical ED symptomatology. Prior research has highlighted those individuals with AN exhibit an increased number of SWJs [13, 14] and a higher number of inhibitory control errors [15, 16].

Towards population-scale long-read sequencing - Nature Reviews Genetics
Abstract Long-read sequencing technologies have now reached a level of accuracy and yield that allows their application to variant detection at a scale of tens to thousands of samples. Concomitant with the development of new computational tools, the first population-scale studies involving long-read sequencing have emerged over the past 2 years and, given the continuous advancement of the field, many more are likely to follow.
