Methods Wild-type human TMEM106B (T185) cDNA was cloned into the CAG-Z-IRES-EGFP vector (provided by Yuji Mishina, University of Michigan) using AflII and SpeI sites. The CAG-Z-TMEM106B-IRES-EGFP construct was then was injected into fertilized oocytes from C57BL/6 female mice and implanted into pseudopregnant ICR mice to generate the Cre-inducible TMEM106B overexpression mice (Mayo Clinic Transgencic Core, Jacksonville).
