For the first time since 2023, North Carolina has a state budget. Following many debates and previous proposals, North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein signed the $34.4 billion North Carolina state budget on July 7. "These investments we are making today will move our state forward. They will point the way forward as well where we need to keep going, because we are not there yet," he said.
