Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not. I published a company newsletter when I worked in a veterinary practice called Tips and Tails. I wrote the content as a dog.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I was a contributor to the Covid 19 series on DVM360. I felt we gave guidance that helped a lot of vet hospitals navigate quarentine
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
"My rent went up - I need a raise". From a chronically late employee.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That veterinarians play with puppies and kittens all day. It is a pressure cooker job.
