To the editor: We are writing this letter to request your “YES” vote for the Halifax County education referendum on Nov. 5. The 1% sales tax increase proceeds will be used solely for school construction or school renovation. Halifax County High School has always been a shining light in our county. That structure is no longer adequate to meet the needs of our current high school students or future students.

Gladys passed knowing the love of her daughter, grandsons, brother, nieces and nephews, extended family and dearest friends. She had a strong faith and devotion to the Lord and is now celebrating eternal peace alongside the love of her life of 52 years, her husband, Robert David Schrader.

Hi my name is Max, I am a 13 year old Rat Terrier and I am in a little bit of trouble. Here is my story....I was a Christmas gift to a sweet 12 year old girl named Bri 13 years ago. Her uncle brought me as a Christmas present for Bri unbeknownst to her parents. I almost didn't get to stay with Bri because her stepfather didn't want a dog in the house. That was an interesting day! Somehow I was allowed to stay due to the lobbying of Debbie (Bri's mom).
