How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

My brain, my notebook and my laptop. In that order.

Who do you wish followed you?

The Prime Minister. I am involved in an important debate, and senior politicians need to know the substance as well as the headlines.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

When I was at school I wrote an monthly astronomy column for the local paper. Sadly, that was long before the everything was archived online.

What's your favorite drink?

IPA: cold and refreshing.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

At work, teaching children.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That it is transphobic to debate the issues that are of concern to transgender people.
