Stakeholder’s Perspectives on the Role of Occupational Therapy in Acute Mental Health in Africa: A Scoping Review

Abstract This scoping review explored the role of occupational therapy in acute mental health in Africa, to inform future research in the field. Using Arksey and O’Malley’s framework, we systematically searched PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, SCOPUS, and Web of Science for articles on "occupational therapy," "acute mental healthcare," and "Africa". The search yielded eight (8) qualitative studies.
