Conor Friedersdorf and others at The Atlantic are doing everything they can to stop a Trump presidency. Friedersdorf talks about the inadequacies of the anti-Trump crowd and how they can change their tactics to have more effect. First of all, he notes, calling Trump supporters appalling, throwing rocks at cars, disrupting rallies, and posting your disgust on social media are ineffective tactics to taking down Trump and make his election more likely.

Commonly today people are exsperiancing many different types of feelings and emotions that absolutely feel so incredibly real to many. One might just feel blown away after learning how emotions and feelings can control lives. Many human feelings are positive, others are typically negative, and some are simply neutral feelings. Many times our personal feelings and emotions will sway us into making the wrong decisions or completely alter our belief systems.

The protests got violent and were apparently much larger than local police have anticipated. The reasoning behind ratcheting up the violence is to make their voice louder. If it was a peaceful protest, it would not have gotten as much media attention. That reasoning is fair, but what does not make sense is the shutting down of debate and detracting from the issues, focusing on candidates as individuals, not as future Presidents.
