Solon Township planners delay passing zoning proposal for data centers — for fifth time

Solon Township commissioners once again tabled a zoning proposal related to data centers after residents voiced their opposition and urged an extension of the township’s ongoing moratorium. The Solon Township Planning Commission on Wednesday night tabled the ordinance proposal for a fifth time, WOOD TV reported.

Energy company submits application for 1,600-acre solar power plant in Bingham Twp.

An energy company has submitted its application to the state of Michigan to put a solar plant covering 1,600 acres of rural land in Bingham Township. Walker Road Solar Farm, LLC, which is being developed by RWE, submitted the project application to the Michigan Public Service Commission last month, the Lansing State Journal reported this week.
