The Grand Budapest Hotel sits at our number one spot, not just for personal reasons, but for its masterful use of color, symmetry, and the perfect balance of awkwardness in a film like we have never seen, and quite possibly will never see again. The film follows a concierge who, due to his charm with an older, wealthy woman who stays at his hotel, inherits a priceless painting that places him in great danger with the family of the woman who left it to him.

Who do you wish followed you?

I think it would have to be Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese, David Lynch or any of the brilliant directors and master storytellers.

Why did you become a journalist?

My love of books and film media was the catalyst. Once I saw Grand Budapest Hotel, I knew that amplifying magical stories was for me.
